Overview:

On the gloomy streets of the Toybox, an innocent toy has been cut down and murdered. Their stuffing has been stolen, the fluffy white fabric gone without a trace. Someone needs to follow the clues, find out what happened and track down the culprit... that's where you come in. 

As Detective Bearbones, traverse a place known as the Toybox and interrogate a cast of characters to slowly uncover the truth behind a murder case filled with lies and deception. With a helpful magnifying glass at his side and a smoking crayon in his mouth, there’s nothing Bearbones won’t do to find the killer and bring them to justice.

Toybox Troubles is a narrative driven, single-player, noir murder mystery game where it's up to the player to undertake an investigation in a world of toys. Talk to characters, learn their stories and hunt for evidence before you dare to put your thoughts together and attempt an accusation...

My Project Design Goals:

Create a fun nonlinear level in Unity utilising our own stylised assets and vfx.

Demonstrate skills in environmental storytelling through level design, environment design, and level pacing.

Create an interesting game world and convey a riveting detective story through the narrative and environment.

Make unique tactical traversal using our own fixed position jump system.
